The small-Midwestern town of Harper, KS has an enriched history of the “camping trade” dating back to the late 1960s. Jayco, a distinguished production company of Recreational Vehicles (RVs), opened a manufacturing facility in the community in 1968. Throughout its years of operation, WJ Fox, a Harper native, labored in Administration until the entirety of Jayco’s manufacturing functions were relocated to Middlebury, Indiana in 1974. WJ remained in Harper with his family and was reassigned to a position as a Regional Sales Representative for Jayco and all of their partnering dealers “West of the Mississippi” until the early 1980s. It was during this time, in 1976, WJ Fox pursued his camping and entrepreneurial passions…establishing Harper Camperland LLC. As of January 1st, 2021, this Harper dealership has rebranded to Harper RV.
